BC has been producing some very fine and interesting wines in recent years, but unfortunately, they were often overlooked and under-appreciated.  At the turn of the Millennium, a group of local wine lovers tried to help change all that.  Their vision was to open a wine shop that not only specialises in BC wines and Icewines, but is also a pleasant gathering place with friendly and knowledgeable staff to allow customers to freely explore and learn about some of BC’s best offerings.

On one sunny Saturday afternoon in the Fall of 2003, Mayor Ron Wood cut the ribbon while a jazz band played in the background and Bellevue Wine Company was born!
